Attributes — Sample Scenes

This folder contains the runnable demo scenes for the Attributes system.

The scenes are paired with Teachable Panels that explain the behaviour live: one for the container, one for combining, one for persistence.

They are not gameplay templates and are not part of the supported Attributes public API.

Scope: Behavioural demonstration of the attribute container, the combining seam and persistence Audience: Developers exploring or validating Attributes Safety: Sample-only — do not ship as-is

Scene Overview

Scene Focus Teachable Panels
00 • Attributes Quickstart One owner, three authored rows, and what a combiner does once you supply one AttributesBasicsPanel, AttributesCombinerProvidersPanel
01 • Attributes Save What a capture writes, and a restore that rewinds rather than merges AttributesSavePanel

Two scenes, split the way every system splits them: the save panel gets one of its own rather than sharing. There is no service to configure and no database to point at, so both scenes are one owner and the panels that read it.

What These Scenes Get Right, And Why It Matters

Two details are load-bearing rather than presentational, and both are easy to undo by tidying.

The authored rows are a mix. strength is bounded at both ends, luck is authored with no bounds at all, and debt is negative with negative bounds. AttributesBasicsPanel cannot demonstrate clamping without a bound, cannot show that authored and bounded are separate properties without a row that is one and not the other, and cannot dislodge the assumption that stats start at zero without a row that does not. Three tidy 0-to-100 stats would teach less than they appear to.

The combiner slot is deliberately empty. That is the shipped default and the combining panel's first lesson: with no combiner wired, providers are not consulted at all. Filling the slot to make the scene look finished removes the single behaviour most likely to cost somebody an afternoon.
